"La Rosa"
"La Rosa," was the first collaboration between vocalist David Harris and Judith for their opening concert of Voices of Sepharad. The song accompanying the dance is a beloved Sephardic text about a young woman yearning for her beloved ("The rose blooms in the month of May, My Soul and fate are in your power.") The song is well known in all Sephardic communities, but the tune in this collaboration is from the Balkan community. It is often sung on the Sabbath.
